Is there a first home buyer exemption for vacant land?
Yes. Eligible first home buyers pay no transfer duty on vacant land valued up to $350,000, with reduced duty up to $450,000. Conditions apply, and we check them before you exchange.
Is there a cooling-off period for off-the-plan?
Yes. Off-the-plan residential contracts in NSW have a 10 business day cooling-off period. If you pull out during it, you forfeit 0.25% of the purchase price.
How quickly will I get my review back?
Same day on request. If you are bidding at an auction on the weekend, pre-auction advice is available by appointment.
Is there a cooling-off period?
For established homes in NSW, 5 business days after exchange, and pulling out costs 0.25% of the price. There is no cooling-off at auction, so get the contract checked before the day.
Is an off-the-plan contract different?
Yes. NSW off-the-plan buyers get a 10 business day cooling-off period, and the contract comes with a disclosure statement covering the sunset date, draft plan and by-laws. We review off-the-plan contracts separately; see off-the-plan conveyancing.
